It is with great excitement that I inform you that I am returning to Malawi, Africa.
This trip is very important as it is a strategic time to minister to the leaders of the church in Malawi who have gone through a difficult time of testing. They have become discouraged and disillusioned - to the point that many churches have closed. Things are now beginning to turn around and the leaders are ready for an encounter with God.
I have been invited by Arnold and Elsie Bowler to be part of a small team that will be going into this context to minister and teach. It will be a joy to be able to pour into the lives of the leaders at this critical time.
We will be conducting three-day seminars in Lilongwe and Blantyre. Each seminar will have two streams - one for the pastors and one for their wives. I will primarily be engaged with the women's seminars. We also will be offering times of personal ministry and prayer and will have question and answer sessions to address specific issues.
Time permitting, we may have the opportunity to work with missionaries Glen and Kerry Halliwell in Blantyre and their thriving ministry to street children and to visit Kathy Bowler's new clinic in Lilongwe which treats children with epilepsy and provides much needed medical services.
The team is leaving on September 17, 2010 and returning October 2. The expected cost of the trip is $3700 per person. Please note that part of each team member's budget goes to help pay for the seminars we are conducting as the Malawian church does not have any funds at this time. It is a critical time to invest in the lives of the pastors and leaders.
